In 1952 Jacques and Jeannine CHOLLET bought a small farm in Boutiers St-Trojan: 10 hectares, for 80 plots, and very few vines.

In 1971 they built their own distillery themselves, to distill for wine growers and merchants. The trading activity takes over.

In 1977 the bottle trade was launched, and the range grew. In 1995 there was a separation of the wine and agricultural activity from that of trade.

The Chollets sold the vineyard to their son Bertrand with 30 hectares. In 2008 Jacques and Jeannine retired, giving way to their son Christophe, current manager of SARL Cognac CHOLLET.
